Our history

We opened Café Diem in November 2020, after purchasing an existing café in Val Verde Plaza, and moved to our current space in September 2021 to better accommodate our guests. Today we’re a locally owned and operated restaurant serving breakfast and lunch all day, seven days a week, from 7:00am to 2:00pm. You’ll find us on the lower level of The Apartments @ Lux 96, on the corner of 96th St. and Portal Rd., with a pet friendly patio and an extensive catering menu.

Our vision

Our team shares one Vision: “Sharing food & love today.” We’re locally owned and operated, with a staff who genuinely care about the people who walk through our door. You’ll find a pet friendly patio, a Drive Thru for your convenience, and offerings that include breakfast, lunch, rotating features and a catering menu — all made from scratch with fresh ingredients.

Made From Scratch

We take pride in fresh food, made from scratch, in generous portions. Mornings mean fresh cracked eggs, crispy hashbrowns, hand-pattied sausage, Hollandaise made daily and cinnamon rolls baked each morning. At lunch, it’s never-frozen hand-pattied burgers, house-marinated chicken, pork tenderloin cut and breaded in house, and USDA Choice Angus beef rubbed and slow cooked. Our soups are made from scratch too — the French Onion simmers for hours before it’s topped with a seasoned, baked crouton and Gruyère.

Come See What’s On Today

Our features rotate daily, so there’s always something new on the board. We also offer an extensive catering menu for larger groups.
